Misfit š

Updated: Sep 5

Moses may have been ethnically Hebrew, but he was educated by their enemy, likely had an Egyptian accent, and probably more than a few Egyptian āquirksā.
Moses belonged nowhere. He went from infant Hebrew slave to being raised as Egyptian royalty. From prince to a shepherd in a foreign land. And from āslow of speech and tongueā to a leader of millions of distrusting Israelites. ā¦But God didnāt waste a single chapter of his life, and each stage was the perfect preparation to fulfill Godās purpose for him.

ā¦in Egypt:
His former royal status gave him access to Pharaoh during the 10 plagues.
Educated āin all the wisdom of the Egyptiansā (Acts 7:22), Moses gained the literacy to write the Torah (first 5 books of the Bible).
His royal education gave him the statecraft, law, and logistics skills he needed to organize a nation of millions.
ā¦in Midian:
40 years of shepherding taught him to survive in the same desert terrain he would later lead the Israelite āflockā through.
Shepherding turned an aggressive hothead into a man āmore humble than anyone else on the face of the earthā (Numbers 12:3).
Throughout Scripture, God uses misfit outsiders to fulfill His will. And Moses, never having a place where he belonged, longed for one thing above all else⦠to be in Godās presence.
Exodus 33:11
The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend.
Acts 7:22
Moses was educated in all the wisdom of the Egyptians and was powerful in speech and action.
