There are three main positions held by Christians on Dinos & the Flood...

Group 1:

Those who believe in a young earth (6k–10k years old) & a literal 6-day creation. Dinosaurs were on the ark. Noah would have taken young dinos that were small. Not every single species – just a pair of every “kind” (e.g., two generic wolf ancestors - not coyotes, foxes, and poodles). Dinosaurs died out shortly afterward. Most fossils come from the flood.

Group 2:

Those who believe in an old earth (4.5 billion years old) & a metaphorical 6-epoch creation. Dinosaurs died out 66 million years ago and were Never on the ark. Noah’s flood was likely a localized historical event, not a global deluge.

Group 3: Those who would rather not think about it. Genesis 7:7-10 Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood. Pairs of clean and unclean animals, of birds and of all creatures that move along the ground, male and female, came to Noah and entered the ark, as God had commanded Noah. And after the seven days the floodwaters came on the earth.
